Minnie Vans Return

A big void will soon be filled by the return of Minnie Vans at Walt Disney  World! June 29th you’ll see the spotted mobiles once again around Disney property!

All you need is the Lyft app! Look up your desired destination and if it’s on a Minnie Van route, you’ll be given the option to choose it or regular Lyft.

Minnie Vans are more expensive so let’s discuss why you may want to choose this option over a standard Lyft vehicle.

A specially trained cast member will be your driver in the eye catching ride. This exclusive driver can help with tips perhaps and local info.

The adorable vans are larger which accommodates more people + luggage and they’re always equipped with 2 car seats!!

Now that’s definitely an upgrade!

The cast member is professionally trained to install car seats properly when needed which in itself is worth a load of cash— I mean have you wrestled a car seat lately?!

As a special needs family, having extra space for gear, strollers, and access to a car seat is an extraordinary delight for vacations!!

And hold onto your seats… you can even reserve an accessible Minnie Van for wheelchair needs right on the app!!! That’s seriously unheard of. I’m consistently amazed at the level of accommodations for the disabled community at Disney World.

Another benefit for using Minnie Van over standard ride share options is that you’re dropped off at the Magic Kingdom bus loop rather than at the Ticket & Transportation Center. This shortens your entry to MK greatly compared to other ride share choices.

WHEN WOULD A MINNIE VAN BE NECESSARY RATHER THAN A BUS?

  1. Early morning dining reservations that you don’t want to risk running late for when you’re at the mercy of the bus system.

  2. Really any morning opportunities that you run the risk of being delayed by Disney transportation (Early Magic Hours, a rope drop strategy, Disney Run Races)

  3. When you need to travel resort to resort or Disney Springs to a park.

I’m obsessed with the clean look and clever name of this iconic tribute vehicle.

A ride that is fit for the classy mouse they’re named after.
